This spell duplicates the ability of a Cube of Force. The cube surrounds the caster and the caster can change the state of the cube in 1 segment. The spell has charges as does the cube and the spell will lapse if the charges are used up before the duration ends. See the DMG for details. An embellished platinum cube with a minimum value of 500gp is required.

This spell is a much improved version of the Gust of Wind spell. The wind produced is much stronger, and has a duration of 1 segment/level. Protected flames have a 10% chance/level of the caster per segment of being extinguished. Large fires are fanned out 2'-12' and small flying creatures are blown back 20'-120'/segment. Medium sized flying creatures are blown back 10'-40' and large flying creatures are held motionless for the duration of the spell. The material component is a legume seed.

The dweomer of this spell causes all ferrous metal in the area of effect to be strongly magnetized and drawn together at a rapid speed. All items will be held until the duration lapses and only magical metal gains the benefit of a saving throw. Magical metal has a 5% chance of not being affected and metals with a plus gain an additional 5% per plus. A lodestone and a tiny set of detailed plate mail costing at least 500gp are required.

Upon the completion of this spell a hand composed of whatever the target creature is standing on grabs the creature. The hand is large enough to grasp the lower body of a human sized creature and may hold up to 10,000gp wt. To break free the victim must roll a bend bars percentage. The hand dispels upon completion of the spell, or if it suffers damage equal to the caster's own hit points at the time of casting. A small leather glove and a steel ring are required for casting the spell.

This spell creates a link between the caster and the Negative Material Plane. The caster draws energy and releases it as a stroke of the indicated size. Damage is 1d6+1 points for every 2 levels. Any creature failing to save suffers full damage and all items carried must save vs. Lightning or be destroyed. Creatures connected with the Positive Material Plane take double damage with no saving throw allowed. The material component is a tentacle of a xeg-yi.

This spell creates a link between the caster and the Positive Material Plane. The caster draws energy and releases it as a stroke 1" wide and 2" long. All creatures in the area sustain 1d6+1 points of damage for every 2 levels of experience. Failure to save indicates that all items carried by victims must save vs. Lightning or be destroyed. Creatures connected with the Negative Material Plane suffer double damage with no save allowed. A tentacle of a xag-ya is required.

This spell is useful only in conjunction with other spells that transport a creature or object from one place to another. The most common use is with the Teleport spell, although it works with others. The effect is a guaranteed return from wherever the creature or object is sent. The magic user casts this spell and specifies how long after the casting of the second spell the magic is to be reversed. This can be any time up to 1 day per level. The second spell must be cast within 1 turn or the magic fades. For example, a wizard plans to go to a party. He fears he won't be able to cast a second Teleport to return home (drunkenness, kidnap). The party is to last 4 hours so he specifies that after 4 hours he is to be returned home. The only things that prevent the operation of the spell are placing the subject in an anti-magical zone until the duration lapses or taking the subject beyond the range of the companion spell.
